Jalen Nesbitt brings a wealth of high-level playing experience and a championship background to Florida State College at Jacksonville as an assistant men’s basketball coach.

Nesbitt spent 11 seasons playing professionally throughout Europe and internationally, competing at the highest levels of professional basketball while developing a strong understanding of player development, leadership, and the global game. His extensive experience provides FSCJ student-athletes with valuable insight into what it takes to compete and succeed at the collegiate and professional levels.

Prior to his professional career, Nesbitt starred at Spartanburg Methodist College, where he helped lead the Pioneers to a perfect 35-0 record and the No. 1 NJCAA ranking in the nation. He continued his collegiate career at the University of North Florida, where he helped lead the Ospreys to the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship and the program’s NCAA Tournament appearance. His performance during the conference tournament earned him Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team honors.

Away from the court, Nesbitt is committed to giving back to the community. Alongside his wife, Cristina, Associate Director of Olympic Sports at Mississippi State University, he co-founded a team that competed in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) on ESPN to help raise awareness and support for those living with Type 1 diabetes.
